Happy New Year!

January is flying by, and before you know it, Bouchercon New Orleans 2025 will be here!

One of our attendees recently suggested that we share more information, and they were absolutely right. So, let me start by reminding you to visit our website, Bouchercon2025.com. There, you'll find a tentative schedule and any newsletters you may have missed—all available on the newsletter page.

Here’s a quick overview to help with your planning:

Pre-Convention Tours

  • We’re working on an exciting lineup of tours! Here’s the current plan:

  • Monday: Afternoon and evening tours

  • Tuesday: Morning, afternoon, and evening tours

  • Wednesday: Morning tours (the last round of pre-convention tours)

  • Check back regularly for updates. We anticipate having the reservation system for tours ready on the website sometime in February.

Key Event Start Times

  • If you’re not interested in the pre-convention tours but don’t want to miss any panels or events, plan to arrive by Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. Panels kick off at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, with possibly another event happening around noon (we’ll confirm this soon).

  • On Wednesday, you can look forward to favorites like the Library "Free Books", and Cozies and Cocktails.

Opening Ceremonies

  • Thursday evening starts with a bang—New Orleans style! The ceremony begins with a jazz band and a second-line parade leading to receive a welcome from our host, Heather Graham.

  • Afterward, attendees can explore the museum’s Profiles in Courage Pavilion before heading back to the hotel to rest up for Friday’s events. There will be food at the ceremony, and cash bars will be available, so don’t forget to bring some money!

Registration Fee and Inclusions

  • The registration fee is $250.00, which covers:

  • All panels and special events

  • Guest of Honor interviews

  • Any included food events (on a first-come, first-served basis)

  • Access to the hospitality suite offering coffee and snacks while

supplies last on Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Closing Ceremonies

  • To help with your travel planning, the final panel—featuring all our Guests of Honor—will take place on Sunday at 11:00 AM. The convention will conclude by noon on Sunday.

This overview should help you decide when to arrive and depart. More details about Friday and Saturday events will be shared in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
